How long does a Tezos transaction take?
A purchase or sale of Tezos will depend on the exchange that one uses and the method of payment. Under good conditions, Tezos has a fast block time of about one minute intervals. The block rate suggests that the system creates a block about once every 60 seconds. The whole transaction takes more than one confirmation. Tezos can require as many as 60 confirmations.
The confirmations require up to sixty and at one-minute per conformation a transaction would take one hour or more. Using a block explorer, you can track the submission of your order, and the number of confirmations. As a rule of thumb, once a transaction reaches 30 or more confirmations, it is highly likely to complete.
